ABOUT THE ROUTE

The most famous trekking route in Svaneti. It starts right in the biggest city – Mestia. The trail passes through the alpine meadows of several valleys. Stunning views accompany this trekking route everyday. Snow-capped peaks of the Greater Caucasus, an Impressive glaciers, powerful rivers, medieval towers and tiny villages. The route is excellent for mountain lovers, who prefer moderate hiking. This tour allows to hike light, without a heavy backpack. Our jeep driver will transfer all your stuff from one guesthouse to next one.

In winter, these regions become completely cut off from civilization and people prudently leave their homes and go down to neighbor region, closer to cities with transport accessibility. In most part of Khevsureti and Tusheti there is no power supply and GSM coverage. This are truly wildness allow you to merge with the nature, feel the history of these places, and fully relax. The route allows you to hike light, without a heavy backpack, because all stuff will carrying on horseback.
