EXPEDBURO
| HELLO EVERYONE! My name is Stas, and this is my project, Expedburo — a blend of 15 years of independent travel and expeditions, along with 11 years of experience as a tour leader and guide. Dozens of multi-day tours across twenty countries: from kayaking adventures in Norway and treks through Patagonia and Iceland, to Via Ferrata routes in the Italian Alps, cultural explorations in Central America and Ethiopia, and summiting peaks from the Andes to the Himalayas. Nothing means more to me than the trust of the hundreds of travellers who return year after year, placing their journeys in my hands. Learn more about my story >> |
| 2011. Peru. I'm standing at over 15,500 feet, staring at a valley I don't have words for. That trek sparked something I couldn't ignore. Days later I climbed my first mountain. Then two more, above 19,500 feet. A year after that, trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, I knew for certain: this was what I was going to do with my life. So I joined a major expedition company as a guide, and spent four years guiding full-time across Nepal, Finland, Norway, and Iceland. That's where I built my skills and experience. In 2017, I moved to Georgia and founded Expedburo, to have the freedom to build trips my own way, drawing on years of travel and guiding experience. Since then, my tours have ranged from cultural immersion trips and yoga retreats to technical mountain climbs, getting a little better at it with every trip. I've guided many dozens of trips in twenty countries so far, and most of my travelers come back for more than one. [Read my full story →] |
TUSHETI Georgia 🇬🇪
Trekking / Nature / Cultural
It's a remote mountainous area where small groups of villagers have maintained their traditions and way of life for centuries. The region is accessible by only one road, which is only open during the summer months. In winter, these regions become completely cut off from civilization and people prudently leave their homes and go down to neighboring areas.
