The perfect route for a first-time visit to Nepal. This adventure combines time in Nepal’s two most vibrant cities – Kathmandu and Pokhara – with one of the country’s most famous trekking routes to Annapurna Base Camp. The gradual elevation gain and moderate maximum altitude of 4,130 meters make this trek an excellent introduction to high-altitude hiking, allowing you to enjoy the journey safely and comfortably while taking in breathtaking views.
Out of the fourteen 8,000-meter peaks in the world, you’ll see two on this trek. Even more remarkably, you’ll witness the sunrise over these legendary summits – twice.
1. WHAT'S THE PLAN?This is a 14-day journey through the heart of Nepal, blending cultural exploration with an incredible trekking experience. We start with time in Kathmandu, discovering its ancient temples and vibrant streets before heading to the lakeside city of Pokhara. From there, we set off on the trek, following a well-established trail that takes us through picturesque villages, lush rhododendron forests, and into the breathtaking Modi Khola valley. Along the way, we experience Nepal’s warm hospitality, staying in cozy mountain lodges run by local families. The highlight of the trek is reaching Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters, a natural amphitheater completely surrounded by towering Himalayan giants, including Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), and the iconic Machapuchare (6,993 m). After completing the trek, we return to Pokhara for a well-earned rest before heading back to Kathmandu. All transfers along the route are arranged with private, comfortable transportation exclusively for our group.2. WHY THE ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREK?This trek is perfect for those looking to experience the magic of the Himalayas without the extreme altitudes of Everest Base Camp or the Annapurna Circuit. The gradual ascent allows your body to adjust to the elevation, making it an excellent choice for first-time high-altitude trekkers. For anyone considering bigger mountaineering challenges in the future, this trek offers a safe and enjoyable way to understand how your body reacts to altitude. At the same time, it’s an incredibly rewarding journey in itself – stunning landscapes, authentic cultural encounters, and the unforgettable experience of standing in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. And, of course, we end it all with a well-deserved soak in natural hot springs – a perfect way to celebrate the adventure!3. Unlike the small rhododendron bushes found in many places, here they grow into massive trees, creating a truly magical atmosphere.Autumn (October–December) offers crystal-clear mountain views, with crisp air and perfect trekking conditions. This season is known for dry trails and sunny days, making it one of the best times to experience the Himalayas.Whichever season you choose, you're in for an unforgettable adventure!5.
